Jim has been racing Off and On since 1997 driving various types of race cars such as stock cars, dragsters and formulas. He was the 1998 SCCA Southwest Regional Champion in BG stockcars in road courses. A former stunt pilot, aerial coordinator, stuntman and actor he worked for Chuck Norris 8 years in the CBS television series, "Walker, Texas Ranger". After the series ended in 2001 he became an instructor for Bombardier Aerospace in the Learjet 60 and then moved to the Flight Test Certification Team for the Challenger 300 earning the first type rating and becoming the Lead Instructor and Check Pilot for the aircraft. During the 8 years with Bombardier, he not only worked as the above mentioned but supported Production Flight Test and Pilot Support for new customers. In 2009 he was hired as the Chief Pilot for the New Orleans Saints Football Organization until retiring in 2025. He is dual rated pilot flying airplanes, jets and helicopters. His retirement consists of racing, acting and flying the only flying Bell 47 helicopter in the Commemorative Air Force.
